Majorettes move on :-(
This page is my dedication to those majorettes who have been members of the "Eclipse" troupe and are no longer with us.
As we all know, things change with time and fellow team members eventually leave. Whether to attend college, university or work; relocate; get married or start a family, the time comes when change is inevitable and members of the troupe decide to close the majorette chapter of their lives or to simply move on.
It's an opportunity to express my gratitude for the commitment and enthusiasm you have shown me and for allowing me the pleasure of teaching you and creating such treasured memories. I will continue to cast a fond look at the gap in the formations that you used to fill. You will be missed dearly...
Majorettes has been my life since 1989 and will be for as long as I can imagine. I started the troupe with the aim of sharing my passion and passing on my knowledge and experience to as many people as I could. I continue to work at generating as much support and recongnition as possible. For each and every life I touch, no matter how small, it is still significant and will help to generate and encourage national acceptance of the sport I love so much.
My ambition in life is to make a difference and to create new branches on the majorette tree. I wholeheartedly encourage and motivate my majorettes into starting their own teams once they are of appropriate age and understanding.
So, for those of you who have left "ECLIPSE" to start you own troupes...
For me, nothing surpasses the feelings of achievement and pride that I gain in the knowlege it is my support and training that has provide the opportunity for the buds to bloom.
I wish you every success and you can always rely on me to offer continued support and advise with your new endevours.
For those of you who have left "ECLIPSE" for other reasons...
I still wish you every success and hope you will keep me informed of where lifes journey takes you.
To conclude id like to quote a verse of the "Eclipse" anthem
"twirl your batons, shake your poms,
stand up straight and march along,
feet together hands on hips,
lets all cheer for the "ECLIPSE"
In loving memory of the times you were a majorette

WEM 3   - Natalie - As at 03/04/08...
Natalie was the troupe Lead Girl when she was with Eclipse, but now she has taken the steps to pass the experience gained with me (Faye) over the last 12 years and will soon begin to teach a group of youths at her local church. She will be deeply missed and the memories of her time with me cherished and in dedication I have left her original message below:
I have been a majorette for over 11 years. I started in the old troupe & held the prefix WEM 42, until in '04 I became WEM3.
After the old troupe broke down, my sister Vanessa & I continued with our WEM numbers & were delighted when a new Eclipse started.
I love being part of a team and to see girls improve and grow in the 'majorette world' from week to week. I get a buzz out of performing in everything & doing it as part of a team is extra special!
I feel my biggest achievements have been continuing as individuals, becoming a National Champion twice in '05 in Majorette March & Fancy Strut & becoming a Mace Major.
I also feel very proud of the fact I have won over 50 awards whilst a Majorette.
My ambitions for the future are to challenge myself more & compete in Supreme Twirler. I also would like to train the girls more to help everyone achieve their best and to pass on my enthusiasm and also to go on a Judges course at the UKFM at some point!

Hi, my name is Vanessa. I have been a majorette for 9 years.
I love the troupe because I get to see all my majorette friends and have a laugh as well as learning new stuff!
My favourite piece of equipment is Poms because it's fun and its like cheerleading. I also love the dancing and the energy.
The girls at WEM are so fun to be with and I love being a part of it all. We have a friendly atmosphere at class and everyone helps eachother.
I have won nearly 50 prizes as well! I love competitions and displays and enjoy making new routines up with the different equipment.
Majorettes is unique and all my friends think its great I have the art of twirling. In the future I hope to improve on what I can do and take part in events like Sally Scott.
I LOVE YOU WEM GIRLS!
