Whos who - parents / supporters - under construction
Della Laws
Della was the "old eclipse" troupe president and now helps whenever she can with "new eclipse". She can usually be found rushing around at displays and competitions helping the majorettes to get ready. She is also a UKFM qualified judge and does as much as she can.
"I thoroughly enjoy helping all the majorettes but I have a particular soft spot for the little- uns!"
Della is also Faye's mum and can't help but to be proud of all the achievements her two daughters have made over the majorettes decades. Her only remaining ambition is to be a proud majorette grandma "come on Faye, hurry up!"
David Laws
David is the official troupe photographer, signwritter, handyman and coach driver. He has been a dedicated "majorette dad" to Faye for 19 years now and wouldnt have it any other way!
Tyna Watmore
Serena is my daughter and I do all I can to support her interests. She loves majorettes and i give back what she gets out by helping Faye as much as I can. Faye also recommended me to sit the judges course and take exams to become a qualified examiner. I was honoured she thought I could do it and was so nervous but completely shocked when I did qualify. I've never had so much enjoyment out of a hobby that my daughter does!
Ernie Watmore
I am Serena's dad and stay away from the madness as much as possbile but still enjoy my envolvement.
Marie Steadman
"I'm a majorette mum and proud! I used to twirl with the "old eclipse" and now my daughter Katherine is with "new eclipse", though I have been known to be thrown into the odd routine for a display or competition! I have a UKFM prefix number too!" My proudest moment was when Katherine won her "miss peewee" title in 2007 but she's always worked hard at majorettes and I'm happy to see it paying off for her."
Nicky Yates
Nicky is Beth's mum and also has a UKFM prefix. Unlike most parents, Nicky wanted to see what the majorettes have to go through to pass grade exams and to go on the floor for competitions and having now passed her bronze, pom and ribbon exams, is even more proud of the achievements Beth and the other majorettes have made. "its not easy to go out and perform, I was a bundle of nerves!"
Nicky can always be found mucking in behind the scenes on fundraising events and offers her support where she can.
Tracey Maxwell
Tracey is mum to both Jessica and Charley though she does have two other non-majorette kids. Tracey also has a UKFM prefix and has passed her bronze, pom and ribbon exams though I'm not sure she wants to do anymore... "i can't believe how nerve racking it is".
Tracey is to Nicky what cheese is to pizza and the two of them are more often than not, inseparable. Like Nicky, Tracey helps whenever she can and jumps in with both feet.
Sunita Hensman
Sunita is Serena H's mum, again has a WEM prefix and has passed her ribbon grade. Sunita also helps out behind the scenes and does her bit for us where she can.
Ross Hensman
Ross (Serena H's dad) was the star attraction in the parent novelty performed at Camber 2007 and had us all in stiches watching his performance. We are all eagerly anticipating his next routine....
Dianne Ammar
Dianne is Laila's mum and like a real trouper, drives all the way from St Albans every week to support her daughters love of majorettes. Dianne is always up for a laugh and a bit of fun and helps out with carnivals, displays and fundraising.
Tiffany Ammar
Tiff is Lailas sister, but not a majorette. as she is more athletic minded. Having said that, she has been in majorette uniform on many occassion to help make up numbers and has even competed for us.
Julie Whittingham
Julie is Amy's mum and has been supporting her daughter since the "new eclipse" began. Julie also helps out where she can for us.
Leonie Green
Lisa Gaston
I am the mum of Amy B and Eloise and love watching them perform , Amy went through a lot when she was younger and will probably still face difficult times growing up but it makes me so proud to see her perform and enjoy herself, she has come a long way since joining in July 2007. I try my best to help out when I can and have double the work since Eloise also joined. The troupe, leaders and parents are all great fun, not only do we want them to do well but we have fun along the way.
Bernice Kennedy
I am Gabriella's mum (Gabby) and used to be a majorette when i was younger. I spent years trying to find somewhere local for Gabby to go and was over the moon when I found this team!
Joanna Geelan
I have both Claire and Kerrie doing majorettes and they both love it. I'm happy as they keep fit while having fun and learning a new discipline.
