Hi, I'm Heidi
I was the "Old Eclipse" troupe mascot and I am honoured to say I have been given the same job for "New Eclipse"!
Over the years I have clocked up many 'baton miles' travelling to France, Jersey, Isle of Wight, Isle of Mann and across the Uk, even as far as Devon and Blackpool.
I have the perfect view point on top of the car in the carnivals and processions and quite often mistaken for a real majorette!
Faye may have hung up her batons, but I certainly haven't.... march on!!!
WEM 1 - Nina
Nina has hung up her baton and is no longer an active majorette., though she does pop along to offer her support when she can. However, in honour of everything she achieved whilst a majorette this number remains hers.
WEM 2 - Faye - Troupe President and Trainer. A qualified UKFM judge and examiner. Also an instructor in the UKFM Academy of Twirl.
I have a wonderful bunch of girls who work their socks off for me and for that I am very appreciative. My "adopted daughters and sisters" all assist in training and helping eachother to learn new skills. I may be the driving force but we are a team, an extended family. Without the trust and support of eachother it wouldn't be worth it!
I strive to encourage and support all my majorettes, as well as those from other teams and federations. My aims are to pass on the passion for and love of majorettes to as many new people as possible. I educate the WEM majorettes with everything they need to know for training and managing a troupe in hope that when they are ready, they will branch off and develope new teams of their own, thus facilitating national growth of the sport!
Despite all my ambitions, I have to say I never expected to be teaching the kids of girls I was teaching from "old Eclipse"... may it be a long continued tradition lol...
WEM 3 - Serena W
Serena joined us from another team after being with them for 9 years. She has a huge love for majorettes and has passed her supreme 3, wheel and Mace Major exams after only a few weeks with us. We look forward to her adding her comments in the near future....
WEM 4 - Gabriella
Hi, I'm 9 years old and have been a majorettes for almost three months. I love it and practice really hard all the time and it drives my mum up the wall. She used to do majorettes when she was younger too. I have passed my bronze and pom pom grades and have my first competition in November - cant wait!
WEM 5 - Katherine
Hiya my name is Katherine I am 9 years old and I have been twirling since I was 5.
My first competition was in my Mummy's tummy, so i s'pose I was bitten by the majorette bug then. I have been to 3 national finals my best achievement so far is winning Miss UKFM Peewee Twirler 2007-2008. My favourite equipment is poms followed by flag. I enjoy majorettes because I like to do shows, and to show people what we can do. Also it's a good place to make friends.
WEM 7 - Jessica
I was one of the first members of the new eclipse with my sister Charley. I have learnt loads and made great friends at class. I have passed my supreme one and will be taking my supreme 2 next time. Faye keeps making me go up an age for teams and it keeps me on my toes, but I love it.
WEM 8 - Beth
I have been at WEM since Faye took over and love it all. I love baton and poms - not a great lover of the wheel. I have passed gold and am not really fussed about when i do my supreme one. I have made great friends at WEM. I thought Camber was great fun and i cant wait to go again. We do other stuff too like displays and competitions and had a big sleepover at our Troupe Leader's house and didn't sleep til 3am!!Thanks for that Faye. We all had a great time at the Halloween Disco in St Albans even though I was embarrassed by my mum dressing up.
Wem 11 - Claire
Wem 12 - Kerrie
WEM 14 - Laila
Hi my name is Laila and I have been doing majorettes for over 3 years.
My favourite equipment is the Baton & Pom Poms but I am famous at my troupe for not liking Ribbon!!!
The best thing about majorettes is making friends and learning new stuff together.
I enjoy going to Camber each year, It is great fun & wicked, I like to see & watch the other troupes . I was even voted to represent WEM at the nationals 08 in the Miss UKFM competition. I hope i didnt let them down....
I enjoy doing displays with the girls in my troupe and I like doing the military groups.
Sometimes majorettes can be hard , but it is worth the hard work in the end.
MAJORETTES IS COOL
love to you all Laila xx
WEM 15 - Charley
I passed my gold grade at the last seminars but i dont like doing solos. I like pom poms but not ribbon coz I always get tangled
WEM 16 - Eloise
I enjoyed P&P and Princess on Parade at Camber but it was scary doing my first competition. I love majorettes and I get to do my gymnastics with it so its twice as much fun!
WEM 17 - Amy.B
My mum used to do majorettes when she was young and I've always wanted to do it. I have only been going for a few months but have reached Supreme 1 standard and love every minute of it.
WEM 18 - Serena H
I am one of the youngest in the troupe but love all my older sisters and adopted parents. Majorettes is soooo much fun!!
I was really happy too, coz i got voted to enter Miss Mascot 08 by the troupe at the nationals.
WEM 21 - Amy W
I have just passed my gold and ribbon grades and looking forward to the next hurdle. Im concentrating on school at the moment but majorettes helps me relax and take my mind off study. Looking forward to our xmas party night - cant wait!
WEM 31 - Samantha
I havent been at majorettes long but i love doing it. I didnt like doing competitions when i first came, but i dont mind them so much now. I like making up my own routines and working in teams. We have fun but work hard.
